We're Seeking a Nanny for Bubba, Sept 2015

We are a loving family with two working parents expecting a new baby in September 2015, and seeking full-time nanny. This is a one-year position starting September 2015 and ending September 2016. 

Responsibilities will include taking care of the newborn, preparing family dinner, and helping out with some household management (grocery shopping, running errands, some light housekeeping for the children).  Details below.

Our ideal candidate is warm, loving, patient and outgoing, very reliable, very well-organized, and proactive. We would love you to have some education or experience with young infants.  This is a one-year position.

Dates and Hours:
* 10 - 15 hrs per wk, Sept - Dec 2015 (optional; dates and responsibilities flexible).
* 42. 5 hrs per week, Jan - Sept, 2016.
* Position ends Sept 2016.

Please note that we comply with all tax and labor laws, including:
* Payroll and tax withholding
* Paying 1.5x overtime rates for any hours per week over 40 hours

Location: Menlo Park

Requirements:
* Compassionate, caring, and passionate about babies.
* Responsible, organized, on time.
* Critical thinker and good communicator.
* Experience and training working with infants, including CPR and safety
* Non-smoker with all vaccinations that protect an infant.

We also have a toddler (19 mos old), who is in daycare during the day, who will not be part of the nanny's responsibilities, except as described below.

Responsibilities:
* Family meal prep twice per week, including grocery shopping (Safeway is walkable from our house) and putting together recipes we provide.
* Preparing and feeding bottles of breast milk to the baby.
* Some light housekeeping for the children, including the kids' laundry. 
* We ask that you handle occasional (i. e., once every couple of weeks) pick-ups/drop-offs of our toddler as needed. We would prefer you to have your own car (and a very clean driving record) for this reason, but even if you don't have one, we can work it out.
