If you are planning on spending some time with us on Maui before the wedding, you have several options for flights.
From Lahaina, the best transportation to the island of Lana'i is by ferry. To return to the mainland after the wedding, you can either reverse your initial pathway (ferry from Lana'i to Maui, then fly from Maui back to the mainland); or you can take a flight from Lana'i (LNY) to Honolulu, and fly out of Honolulu (HNL). If you are planning to join us only for the wedding, you will probably find the shortest flights and best prices flying into the Honolulu airport (HNL), and then catching a connecting flight into the Lana'i airport (LNY). From Honolulu to Maui to Lana'i This information is for kama'aina guests who plan to spend time on Maui before the wedding. If you are planning on spending some time with us on Maui before the wedding, the most convenient airport to fly into will probably be the Kapalua, Maui airport (JHM). I am not sure if this airport will be more expensive, but you will be nearby Lahaina, where Will and Lauren will be staying. From Lahaina, the best transportation to the island of Lana'i is by ferry. To return to O'ahu after the wedding, you will probably want to take a flight from Lana'i to Honolulu (HNL). From Honolulu to Lana'i This information is for kama'aina guests who plan to join us only for the wedding. If you are planning on coming from O'ahu to join us only for the wedding, you will probably find the shortest flights and best prices flying from the Honolulu airport (HNL) to the Lana'i airport (LNY). Cars On Maui Before the wedding on Maui, families will probably want to rent their own cars for maximum flexibility. If you wish to join Will and Lauren at the Outrigger Aina Nalu condo hotel, you will be within walking distance to most of the activities in Lahaina Town. To rent a car to pick up and drop off in Lahaina, try Hertz (www.hertz.com, 256 Papalaua Street, 808-661-7735). If you want to rent a car and are flying into OGG, please call Lauren at 650-400-5929. On Lana'i For the wedding itself on Lana'i, the Four Seasons Resorts provides unlimited transportation between the resorts, and to the airport, the ferry dock, and Lana'i Town. They will also provide any transportation to activities that you may want to pursue at the resorts. You will be charged a one-time transportation fee upon arrival ($45 for adults, $20 for kama`aina adults; less for children), but will then be able to go anywhere you want on the island without worrying about driving yourself!
